Duathlon/Triathlon Clinics

8 WEEK TRAINING PROGRAM $240

Focus is on begin­ning and inter­me­di­ate level sprint and olympic dis­tance triathlon train­ing. Run­ning, cycling, swim­ming, and com­bined brick clin­ics are included. We will encour­age you to par­tic­i­pate in local triathlon events near Seattle.

1. Track Inter­vals and Drills
All related to improv­ing body mechan­ics and speed

  • Warm ups
  • Speed work
  • Hills
  • Lunges/Squats/Plyometrics
  • Push-ups/Planks
  • Core
  • Stretches
  • Groups will form into level 1 and level 2, begin at a mod­er­ate inten­sity and increase as the sea­son progresses.

 


2. Cycling Clin­ics and Rides
Cycling work­outs will begin with a focus on han­dling skills that will increase your con­fi­dence & safety on the bike.

  • Basic group rid­ing eti­quette • How to change a flat tire
  • Cor­ner­ing and brak­ing safely
  • Climb­ing efficiently
  • Descend­ing hills
  • Groups will form into level 1 and level 2. As the weeks progress, ride dura­tion and dis­tance will increase to have you in opti­mal cycling condition!

 


3. Brick Work Outs

  • Swim / Bike / Run Transitions
  • Men­tal and phys­i­cal tran­si­tion preparation
  • Begins with a10 mile ride/10 minute run
  • Pro­gresses to a swim, bike, and run

 


4. Swim work outs
Focus on being able to swim with a group in an open water set­ting with confidence.
