Personal Experience
Growing up I enjoyed the thrill of playing various sports and eventually running in college for the varsity cross-country team. Since then I have competed in countless 5Ks and 10Ks, sprint and olympic distance triathlons, and summited Mt. Rainier and Mt. Baker.
My most recent personal accomplishment is raising my 2-year-old daughter. I completed 5 triathlons while pregnant and finished 5 more shortly after having her. It became my quest to see what the female body was capable of pre– and post-partum. Some things came easy and some things were very difficult. In my pursuit I hope to understand women who have children and who want to be fit.
Another recent accomplishment was losing weight. I have lost all 50 of the 50 pounds I put on while pregnant.
I enjoy working with anyone who has a quest for fitness. Understand that it gives me great satisfaction to help you reach your fitness goals.

14 years focusing on the most important aspects of fitness: fat loss, muscle development, posture, core, flexibility, cardio and sports conditioning. I’ve prepared clients to summit mountains, run, complete triathlons, and ski. Whatever your athletic endeavors are, I can help you train for them.
Race Director
I host a 3-race series at various parks in Seattle. They alternate between Alki Park, Seward Park and Mertyl Edwards Park. We might also get the trail runs back at Lincoln Park. These are 5K/10K runs that benefit our neighborhoods. 10% of our proceeds goes to Seattle Parks and Recreation. We can easily support 300 racers each day.

Is there another race after April 17? If so, when and where? Thank you!
Check the Next Race tab, everything is updated.
Hi Annette, are you doing a triathlon clinic this year? If so when are thinking of starting it?
If I get enough interest I’m all for it! Please let me know if you have interest in participating in a beginner/intermediate level 10-week triathlon clinic starting in June.
8 AM registration. 9 AM start.
Annette, I have a request for the race this Sunday May 15th. I have emailed a couple of times, please get back to me as soon as possible
what is the course for the 10K? where should my ride pick me up, where we began or some other point?
Is the 10K a round trip or one way run?
The 10k course is out and back twice
Hello,
I just completed the series of 3 5ks on Alki. I was told i get a shirt for registering for the series, but yesterday they were out of most sizes. Can I please get a shirt? i would be happy to pick it up locally.
Annette: I am interested in signing up for the interval training at W. Sea. Stadium beginning next week. I have to bring my kids who can occupy themselves but my question is do we stay within the stadium or do we take off from there? Thanks!
Hi Annette,
I am interested in the July 29th run at Myrtle Edwards Park. Is there a specific start time to it? Thanks!
Start time is 7:15 PM, Check — in at 6 PM. Thanks!
Are pets allowed to attend the Run to Drums?
Yes! Please leash your pet and start near the back. Thanks!
Will new bib nos. be given for each of the 3-race run to drums series 10/8,10/23, 11/20/2011?
Also, for those that ordered t-shirts, when will the partipants be receiving them?
Thank you in advance for your reply,
Yolanda
Yes, new bib numbers will be given at each race.
This will be my first time trying out the 3 walk/runs for 2012.
Do I just show up on the day of the race to register? And how can I find out where to go in the park? I’m looking forward to getting in shape this year.…need to loose about 15 lbs.
Hi Diana, I would register online for the 3-race series. It is much cheaper. Go to http://www.fitnessforvitality.com/5k10k-races/next-race/ and push the “Register Now” button.
Good luck to you!
